Following our sponsorship with the ASHRAE Golf Tournament we wanted to show our support of the local film industry by sponsoring a hole at the MPPIA (Motion Picture Production Industry Association) Golf Tournament at the Point Grey Golf & Country Club.
The hole we sponsored was also supported by the Marble Slab Creamery at Coquitlam Centre, owned by film industry location managers. Many of the players were guests of industry personnel and a great time was had by all. The tournament was a good opportunity for us to meet others in the industry and to learn about their contributions and involvement.
The BC film industry has had a great influence on the way we design our equipment and run our operations. The need for widely mobile and easy to use equipment is the reason we developed our “Roll in, Plug in, Turn on” units. The quick demands of the industry also meant that we had to be ready to roll at any given moment. We have applied these principles to other industries but have the film industry to thank for the push in the right direction.
