People

Cool Air Rentals Sustainability PolicyWe are an approachable team of expert problem solvers. If you’re facing a challenge, you can count on us to learn, adapt, and deliver creative solutions.

Cool Air believes in:

  • Being a trusted partner:
Our journeymen, technicians and support team are friendly and knowledgeable. Collaboration and encouraging feedback are central to our approach. As heating and cooling specialists with three decades of experience, you can rely on us to find the right solutions for every business.

  • Safeguarding community:
When an emergency happens, we always answer the call. During the 2021 heat dome, Cool Air responded to an urgent request from Health Emergency Management BC (HEMBC) to help cool hospitals, clinics and long-term care homes whose systems were failing in the heat. Through careful strategy and good communication, Cool Air was able to create emergency cooling solutions that suited each facility’s needs – keeping vulnerable people safe, cool and comfortable. Since then, we’ve helped other facilities and professionals develop risk mitigation plans as a way to prepare for emergencies, system failures or planned shut-downs.

Buildings

Our flexible problem-solving approach makes us a good fit for nearly every industry, and our clients include zoos, film sets, construction sites, server rooms and health care institutions.

  • A trusted partner:
Caring for people, buildings and the planet can lead to great things. On a construction site, temporary heating systems are required to regulate the building envelope. Traditionally, these systems are powered through diesel, natural gas, or propane-fueled equipment which produce carbon emissions. In 2021, Cool Air successfully provided all site heating on a Chandos Construction project in Prince George by accessing the city’s district energy system. This forward-thinking approach reduced the environmental impact of the project as well as the cost: this construction’s heating cost less than traditional methods, was carbon neutral, emitted no GHGs, and was entirely powered by local, renewable resources.

Planet

We are dedicated to sustainable solutions, and to helping Canadians become more resilient to climate change.

Cool Air is committed to:

  • Reducing and reusing:
We don’t believe in filling up landfills, and we are proud to share that 70% of our equipment inventory is refurbished. Our trained team is tasked with making sure that our equipment runs efficiently and is serviced after every single install – and that attention to detail helps keep machines performing at their best for longer.

  • Building resiliency:
Cool Air helps people keep working and stay comfortable during key infrastructure upgrades. Outdated or malfunctioning cooling systems can leak ODS (ozone depleting substances) and emit large amounts of refrigerant. Improperly operating heating units emit high quantities of carbon dioxide. Our temporary, emergency solutions allow the time needed for these older systems to be replaced without compromising our clients’ comfort or time.
